I am a local girl having been raised in Binfield Heath and later moving to Henley. I have worked in Henley over the past 38 years with residents of all ages. I also got to know many residents when I accompanied my husband Terry to a wide variety of social events while he served Henley as a Councillor. I was very proud to have had the experience of accompanying Terry as his Mayoress when he served as Mayor of Henley in 1996 and 2007. I would like to continue Terry’s work, particularly for Townlands Hospital which mattered so much to him and everyone in Henley. I will also support young people of the town by attending local organisations, listening to and acting on their views and visions for the future of Henley. My interests are not party political. I will represent you, the residents of the town, so that your voices can be heard.

I was born in Henley and educated locally. I graduated from Leeds University with a degree in English and Philosophy. I am 3rd generation Henley and still live in the family home built by my grandparents and where my two children have grown up. I was Finance Director of a family business for 11 yrs, currently I work at the Hart Surgery. A founder member of HRG 20 years ago, I was elected to the Town and District Councils from 1991-5, and re-elected from 2003-7. I was re-elected to the Town Council in 2007 and was Deputy Mayor 2007-8 and Mayor 2008-9. I am presently Chairman of the Recreation and Amenities Committee and I am Chairman of the Day Centre Social Club for over 60s. I am also a member of the Henley Partnership's Arts Group. Most recently, I was a founder member of Henley in Transition. I have worked hard to improve facilities within the town.

I have lived in Henley for 35 years and am married with two grown up children who attended local schools. A recently retired company director, I have been a Town Councillor from 1995-9 and 2003 to date, and Town Mayor in 1998/9. My main interests on the Town Council are Finance (current Vice Chair the Finance, Strategy & Management committee) and Planning (current Chair of Planning Committee). I am the Town Council’s representative on the Neighbourhood Action Group which links the police with councils and other town organisations and deals with residents’ priorities on crime issues in the town. I have been a governor of Valley Road School for the past 15 years; a Past President of the Henley Town & Visitors Regatta; a member of the Lions Club since 1999; a Past President of the Henley Lions and Past Zone Chairman for the Thames Valley Group of Lions Clubs; I am also a member of the Henley Partnership's Community Liaison and Commercial Groups.

I have been a Henley resident for forty five years, the last seven enjoyably spent serving as a Town Councillor. Although intensely protective of the unique beauty of Henley, I fully understand that the vitality of the town also relies upon its commercial businesses activities, societies and sports clubs and will do everything in my capacity to promote their interests.

I have lived most of my life in Henley and am married with 4 children. I work as a freelance Secretary and at Henley Youth Centre. My main interests revolve around singing in a local Church Choir, belonging to Gardening Buddies and at the moment organising a Henley Festival of Flowers. I am also a member of the Henley Partnership's Tourism Group. I have been a School Governor and for many years was a Trustee of the Eyot Centre, I am on the Management Committee of the Henley Youth Centre, Henley Day Centre and Citizens Advice Bureau. Currently I am the Mayor of Henley which means that I sit on the Boards of various charities in the town. For the past 7 years I have been the Chairman of Henley in Bloom and have been pleased to lead Henley's successes in the Britain in Bloom competition. I have also been the chairman of the Christmas Festival Committee and have been delighted that our Christmas Festival goes from strength to strength. If elected I would endeavour to keep Henley on the map over at the District Council. We have issues that are specific to Henley and I would ensure that lines of communication are kept open so that Henley residents are informed of changes that affect them. I am thinking particularly of the recent changes to our bin collections and also to planning issues. We need a voice beyond our boundaries. I have worked hard to promote the economic development of our town, to speak with our businesses and to bring together all interests in the town.

Resident in Henley for over 20 years. I am chair of HRG and the Townlands Steering Group, making sure that Henley's voice is heard and working with all stakeholders to agree a redevelopment plan for Townlands. I am a strong supporter of the sports clubs in the town which provide opportunities for all to enjoy. I was particularly happy when as Mayor in 2005-2006 I was able to sign the loan to Henley Cricket Club which enabled the club to buy the ground. I am currently a trustee of the Cricket Club. I am a member of the Henley in Transition Group as I am a strong believer in protecting the environment and ensuring that we live sustainably. I am also a member of the Henley Partnership's Environment and Community Liaison Groups. I work as a director of a software company where I manage the development team. I am also a keen bridge player, cricketer and allotment holder.

I am 21 years of age and work as an Operation Manager for a courier company. With a keen interest in Amateur Dramatics, I have been involved with the Kenton Theatre since I was five. Realising there may be a negative view of the younger residents, I aim to change this. I want to encourage them to take more interest in the town's management and future. I thinks it is time there was a younger view on the future of our town.

After many years living in Henley I resemble a stick of rock with "Henley-on-Thames" written right through me. As a family we have been involved with local Schools, Sports Clubs, Theatre Groups and the Church, we feel safe here, Henley is our Security Blanket. I am a free-lance Bookkeeper and Property Manager, I can therefore bring common sense, finance, property management and "people" skills to the group. I HATE National politics being brought into Town matters. I was attracted to HRG – a group of independent free-thinkers who put the needs of the Town first and NOT the Party machine.
